Barbara Strassman (Linky Shippee) was raised in a household where hands on healing, meditation, yoga and metaphysical studies were every day occurrences. She became an initiate of Kirpal Singh in the 1970’s. She graduated in 1977 from Wheaton College with a major in Religion. While still in college she began her first career as a licensed Insurance Agent. When her son Michael became ill in the 1990’s she was drawn back to her world of energy and healing and she discovered Reflexology. The experiences with her son and Reflexology changed the direction of her life and her career, from insurance to one of a holistic practitioner.

She became a Nationally Certified Reflexologist in 1998 and then in 2000 she started her training as a CranioSacral / Myofascial therapist. Barbara became a Reiki practitioner in 1997.

Barbara uses her training, her knowledge of relaxation techniques and meditation, as well as her own life experiences to help her clients on many different levels. You will find that Barbara, Sole Woman, has a passion for new experiences, for learning, for increased self awareness and spiritual growth. You will also find that Sole Woman will share all of this with you – at whatever level you are open and ready to receive.

Sole Woman believes in the interconnectedness of every living person and every living thing. We are energetic beings, our beliefs, our thoughts, our words and our deeds create who we are, create our life experiences We become what we think, and what we feel. When the emotion of love ( not fear) is behind the feeling and the thought, then that which we are thinking becomes manifest. The feeling and the emotion behind the thought gives it an energy, a power that brings the thought into being.

The Sole Woman will guide you in experiencing where in your body you are losing energy to thoughts and feelings that are based not in love, but in fear, and how this affects your biology. At the same time you can experience how thoughts based in love, gratitude and appreciation also feel in your body and how they affect your biology.

The Sole Woman’s office offers a very relaxing and safe atmosphere. You will experience a sense of peace, comfort, support and a feeling of being nurtured. There is no agenda, there is no right or wrong, just what IS. Honoring your self, honoring where you are at in the moment and trusting the wisdom of your body is what a session with Sole Woman is all about.

Barbara is skilled in “holding space” for her clients and allowing them to fully experience their journey on her table, whether that means journey thru this life time or thru past life times. Her understanding of the universe and the interconnectedness of everyone and everything, and her nonjudgmental approach makes her an excellent facilitator.
